The plain version
- Pinch of is a place to keep and cook your recipes. Use it kindly and lawfully.
- Your recipes and notes stay yours. We only use them to run Pinch of for you.
- Only share what you're allowed to share, and be careful with other people's work.
- You can leave and delete your account whenever you like.
Your account
You need an account to save recipes, plan your week and keep a shopping list. Give us a real email address, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.
You're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least [age] to use Pinch of.
Your recipes and content
The recipes, photos, tips and notes you add are yours. You give us permission to store them, show them back to you and the people in your kitchen, and show them to anyone you share them with, but only so we can run Pinch of.
When you import a recipe from a website, video or document, Pinch of keeps a tidy copy for your own use and a link to the original. Please only import things you're happy to keep for personal use, and give credit when you share something that isn't yours.
Sharing
When you share a recipe, anyone with the link can open it without an account. You decide what to share, and you can stop sharing at any time. Once you stop, the link stops working straight away, though anyone who already copied the recipe keeps their copy.
If you invite someone into your kitchen, they can see and change its recipes, plan and shopping list. Only invite people you trust.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- break the law, or use Pinch of to share anything illegal or harmful;
- upload or share content you don't have the right to share;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of Pinch of;
- use bots or scrapers to copy content from Pinch of, or to send it large amounts of automated traffic;
- pretend to be someone else, or use other people's accounts.
If you do, we may remove content or close your account.
AI features
Pinch of uses AI to turn links, text and videos into recipes, and can work out things like nutrition when you ask. AI makes mistakes. Check amounts, times, temperatures and allergens before you cook, especially if you or anyone you cook for has an allergy.
If you connect an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, it can only do what you approve, and you can disconnect it at any time in Settings. What you type into the assistant itself is covered by that company's own terms.
The service changing
We're always improving Pinch of, so features may change, move or go away. We'll try to give you notice of big changes. We aim to keep Pinch of running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
[Pricing: say here whether Pinch of is free, or what it costs and how billing works.]
Liability
Pinch of is provided as it is. We take care with it, but to the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that come from using it, such as a recipe that doesn't turn out or a missing ingredient. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the law that can't be limited, including consumer law.
Keep a copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Ending your account
You can stop using Pinch of and delete your account at any time, [how to do this, or email us]. We'll then delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to stop the service. If we can, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to take your recipes with you.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll tell you in the app first. If you carry on using Pinch of after a change, that means you accept it.
